Founder & CEO at PaxFlow
With over 12 years in the travel tech industry, Soffía is the founder and CEO of PaxFlow, a startup launched in January 2023. PaxFlow empowers tour operators by streamlining operations through automation and customer self-service tools, leveraging AI to enhance efficiency. In its first six months, PaxFlow secured over $2.5 million in funding to develop its platform and expand globally. Previously, Soffía was the Director of Travel Solutions at Origo hf., overseeing the development of travel tech solutions like Caren, DriveGuide, and BookingFactory.
CTO at Icelandia
Axel brings over 30 years of experience in the software and IT industry, including more than eight years in telecommunications. He has held leadership roles such as CEO at startups Urlausn and Codilac, Deputy Manager at Nyherji, and Software & Network Manager at Industria. As CTO at Icelandia, Axel implemented a three-year IT roadmap. His expertise encompasses software design and development, IT architecture, agile management, team building, and leading offshore teams. Notably, Axel was the first runner-up at the 2013 Golden Egg Entrepreneur awards.
Tech Lead at Gangverk
Jón holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Reykjavík and brings nearly a decade of software development experience. Formerly a Software Developer at Origo, he now serves as Tech Lead at Gangverk, focusing on travel technology for clients such as Lindblad Expeditions and Play Airlines. Jón is also venturing into the startup scene with HotSheep, a platform for last-minute deals.
